The story...

Once upon a time... that's how most stories begin.
We've all been told stories since early childhood: fairy tales, fables, and they're all a part of our life. They help us grow up, they prepare us for the "real world", they speak about values, they draw the line between good and bad, between right and wrong.
Won't you tell me a story?

One day a little boy was playing in his garden; when he looked into the sky he saw a beautiful rainbow but there were some grey clouds too. Then the clouds started to build up and becoming greyer and thicker. Suddenly, there was a thunderstorm and it started to rain a lot and the little boy ran home and hid under the bed. All that rain turned into a flood.
And this storm led to a fissure on the main road, the one that connected the little boy’s mother’s workplace and the little boy’s home, and the end of the main road was flooded so his mother couldn’t go home at all.
Afterwards, it all came to an end and the sky was blue again, the sun shone bright and everything was calm again. And the little boy could go and play again with his mother.
This is the reason why we can use the expression a “rainbow in the morning gives you fair warning”.

We all have a story. Our life is our story. It’s like a fairy tale… We just don’t know how it is going to end. :)

Hello teacher!

I've searched in the net about the linking between the lives of J.F.K. and Lincoln, and I found some interesting facts: there are misinterpretations on the statements and also some inaccuracies, specially relating to the dates of birth and death.

check out this web site:

See you next friday!!
